What is about?
It is a medical, scientific, independent non-governmental society dedicated for serving gynecologists in Kurdistan.
Location
It is based in Erbil, capital of Iraqi Kurdistan Region and there is an intention to open sub-branches in other Kurdish provinces.
Goals
1) Raising scientific level of doctors and gynecologists and encouraging scientific research. This can be done through holding conferences and lectures during which scientific research and expertise will be presented.
2) Conducting medical and scientific research in cooperation with international universities to keep pace with the latest developments on medical education.
3) Exchanging scientific expertise with the relevant regional and international associations and participate in the activities related to the field of gynecology.
4) Adapting the most advanced curriculums and research methods practiced worldwide.
5) Coordinating and strengthening ties with sub maternities at medical universities outside the Kurdish region.
6) Establishing an academic and scientific network with gynecologists in advanced countries such as the United States.
7) Holding scientific conferences with the participation of lecturers outside the region.
8) Providing opportunities to participate in scientific trainings on the latest techniques on gynecology in and out of Kurdistan.
9) Participating in medical conferences and events in the Arab world and elsewhere.
10) Cooperating with other women’s health organizations to improve the health status of women.
11) Stipulating the educational law to protect gynecologists legally.
12) Cooperating with doctors’ syndicates and others related to the medical profession to secure the highest quality medical equipment for patients.
13) Organizing the rules of how to manage a medical profession and cooperating with physicians’ syndicates in order to raise the scientific level in the region.
14) Building up academic, scientific, social and cultural relations between society’s members and physicians from Iraq and other worldwide countries.
15) Seeking doctors internationally from hospitals and universities to present medical and practical lectures on medical fields.
16) Activating medical inquisition law so as to protect a doctor or a patient and eliminate any danger that might jeopardize their lives.

The (KISOG) is a membership organization dedicated to the advancement of women health care through continuing medical education practice and research.

KISOG as the premier organization for women health care , that a women of the Kurdistan – Iraq achieve the highest possible standards of physical , Mental ,Reproductive, Sexual health and wellbeing throughout their lives ,continuously improve health care for women through practice and research , lead advocacy for women's health care issues nationally and internationally and provide excellent organizational support and services for our members .
